Safe, intentional technology in our schools.
We're a community of volunteers in Shaker Heights working for safe, intentional, and developmentally appropriate use of screens in our schools.
Who we are
Schools Beyond Screens — Shaker Heights is a volunteer group of parents, caregivers, and educators working for safe, intentional, and developmentally appropriate technology use in the Shaker Heights schools.
As the local chapter of the national Schools Beyond Screens movement, we believe school time should center on human connection, deep learning, and play — with screens used as a deliberate tool, not a default. We're here to listen, learn together, and give our community a clear, constructive voice in how technology shapes our children's school days.
- Occasional, useful updates. No spam — just what's happening and ways to help.
- A friendly local community of families and educators who care about this.
- A constructive voice with our schools, grounded in evidence and good faith.
